I called Royce based on other Angie's List feedback and he certainly did not disappoint. We asked him to inspect a 3/2 1311 square foot home in South Austin that we are considering purchasing. Royce's report was 12 pages without photos and 53 pages with them. He took nearly 200 photos in all and caught things that we didn't even think to look for. When I compare his report to the one that the home-seller provided to us (which cost her more than Royce charged) it's really amazing how much stuff was overlooked (or missed completely) by the other guy. I feel that Royce's extremely thorough report has put us in a position to renegotiate the purchase price down to a more comfortable level. In terms of his professional behavior, Royce had already completed most of the report (and showed his draft to me) they day before we were supposed to meet. When we got there, he showed me everything that he had found in detail and explained why it was a potential issue and what kind of stuff might need to be done to remedy it. He even took off his shoes when he was inside the house so he wouldn't track mud. Never once did he pressure or attempt to persuade us to go with a "buddy" of his like some inspectors have done in the past. Really, I can't recommend this guy enough! If you're buying a new home in Austin I don't think you can get a report as comprehensive as his.

"It was a nice time for us, working with Royce. When we talked to our house supervisor regarding the home inspection before we moved in, he asked who is the inspector. When we said Royce's name, he became worried. We asked why you worried, he told us he is a tough guy. Later we understand, why he became tough for that supervisor :-) He inspected our home each and every portion and his detailed report helped us to fix the problems from the builder before we moved in. The 1yr warranty inspection also much helpful. We referred him to couple of our friends and they are also happy.

In the 8 year in Real Estate, the best home inspector I have found is Royce Moore. He stands up for his clients, he is sincere and thorough in his work and very knowledgeable. Being a builder for many years gives Royce the expertise and insight of every aspect of building a house from the ground up, including the depth needed for the foundation and the final finish out. He is an expert in the issues when building methodology is out of line and what could happen if it is not done right. He is so good, that I only recommend him to all my clients. He would probably be the only inspector who will work with a client even before the foundation is poured. When you find the best, why gamble with the rest?

Royce Moore has inspected 3 of our homes in the last 5 years in Austin and we would not trust anyone else. It was a real pleasure working with Royce Moore of Inspection Services. Royce was referred to us by a friend of ours. We were impressed and comforted by his attention to detail during the home inspection process. While the home search/selection process can be very stressful, having a Home inspector one can trust is key. We had 3 homes narrowed down in the Northwest Austin area after spending ~8 months looking for homes. Thanks to Royce's feedback, we eliminated one of them from consideration even though it was the most attractive based on many criteria, including price. Royce highlighted several problems, that could have been fixed with enough time and patience, that made us back off. We had Royce inspect all three of them within a span of 2 weeks! Throughout the process, Royce also gave us advice on several aspects of home buying not directly related to Home Inspection. Even though we were not first time home buyers, that input was very much appreciated and helpful. He also called to followup on a couple of items on the home we ultimately bought; this wasn't something that we expected.
